Becki Newton

Becki is the daughter of a Connecticut native. When she was 13 and began acting in local productions, including productions for summer and the community theater. Her studies included many years of European History in the University of Pennsylvania. Becki moved to NYC right after her graduation to pursue Broadway. After performing in numerous commercials across the country and guest-starring roles, including Cold Case (2003), Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999), as well as American Dreams (2002), Becki was offered the part of Amanda on Ugly Betty (2006). Her husband is actress Chris Diamantopoulos, and her brother is actor Matt Newton. They're beautiful, but not supermodels. It's great that I'm not worried about the red carpet or work since I'm not a professional. Yet, I'm confident enough to make a risk with regards to my appearance. Beauty makes you smile!
